Vondom is the Spanish reference for sculptural outdoor furniture and planters — rotational-moulded polymer forms in bold colours, scaled for residential terraces, hospitality lobbies and urban public spaces. Founded in 1997 in Valencia, the brand commissions Karim Rashid, Ramón Esteve, Fabio Novembre, Eugeni Quitllet, Stefano Giovannoni and Lorenza Bozzoli for collections that read as installations as much as furniture. Via della Seta sources Vondom directly from the Valencia factory for villa, hotel, restaurant and rooftop projects across the United States, Europe and the Middle East — handling specification, freight, customs and white-glove delivery under one contract.

Vondom sculptural outdoor furniture in a hospitality setting

Why specify Vondom for an outdoor project

Vondom occupies a category most luxury outdoor brands avoid: sculptural, colour-driven, scaled-up rotational-moulded furniture that functions equally as seating and as visual punctuation. While Kettal, Dedon and Royal Botania compete on materials and architectural restraint, Vondom competes on form. The Faz, Vela, Wall Street, Pezzettina, Solid, Africa and Translation collections are produced as oversized monolithic shapes — often illuminated from within — that anchor pool decks, hotel lobbies, rooftop bars and urban installations where the furniture is meant to be seen, not blend in.

For US specifications the technical case is also strong: rotational-moulded polyethylene is structurally one piece, with no joinery to fail, fully UV-stable, and rated for full year-round outdoor exposure including freeze-thaw cycles. Many references are RAL-customisable in any colour, and the lighting collections (Faz Light, Vela Light, Solid Light) carry IP rating for in-pool and submerged installations. Vondom recurs in resort, club, restaurant and hospitality projects across Florida, California, Las Vegas and Miami where the design intent calls for statement scale and bold colour.

Via della Seta sources every Vondom collection — Faz, Vela, Wall Street, Pezzettina, Solid, Africa, Translation, Pal, Hoplá and the rest — directly from the Valencia factory. We coordinate the order with the rest of your FF&E specification, manage ocean or air freight, US customs clearance and white-glove delivery, and consolidate Vondom outdoor furniture into a single project shipment alongside indoor furniture, lighting, kitchens and smart home — under one contract and one timeline.

Care & maintenance

Polyethylene shells

Rotational-moulded polyethylene is structurally one piece with no joinery to maintain. Wash with mild soap and water as needed. UV-stable colour does not require resealing. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can dull the finish.

Cushions & textiles

Solution-dyed acrylic and Sunbrella-grade fabrics resist UV fade, mould and mildew. Most cushion covers are removable. Store cushions during extended winters or use breathable covers.

Illuminated collections

Vondom Light series uses RGB-W LED lamping (typically rechargeable battery or low-voltage hardwired). Submersible references are IP-rated for direct pool use; check the spec sheet per fixture for IP rating before specification.

Frequently asked questions

Where is Vondom furniture made?

Vondom has been Spanish since its founding in 1997, headquartered and produced in Valencia. The brand operates an integrated rotational-moulding facility for the polyethylene shells and assembles cushion programmes, lamping and illuminated configurations in-house.

How long does Vondom outdoor furniture last?

Rotational-moulded polyethylene is structurally one piece with no joinery to fail. The shells are UV-stable and rated for full year-round outdoor exposure, including freeze-thaw cycles in northern and mountain climates. With basic care most Vondom references deliver a decade or more of outdoor service before the cushion programme needs refresh.

Can I buy Vondom furniture in the United States through Via della Seta?

Yes. Via della Seta sources Vondom directly from Valencia for residential, hospitality and contract projects across the United States — including hotel lobbies and rooftop bars in New York, Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles; resort pool decks in Florida and Hawaii; restaurant terraces nationwide; and statement residential installations. We handle specification, factory order, ocean freight, US customs clearance and white-glove delivery.

Are Vondom pieces RAL-customisable?

Yes. Many Vondom references can be specified in custom RAL colours rather than the standard palette — this is one of the brand's strongest differentiators for branded hospitality projects. Lead times for custom RAL are 12–18 weeks rather than the standard 6–10. Send the RAL reference with your spec list.

Which Vondom collections are illuminated?

Vondom's Light series includes Faz Light, Vela Light, Pezzettina Light, Solid Light, Wall Street Light and others. These references include integrated RGB-W LED lamping, typically with rechargeable battery or low-voltage hardwired options. Submersible variants are IP-rated for direct in-pool use. The Light series is widely specified for hotel pool decks, rooftop bars and event installations.

How does Vondom compare to Kettal, Dedon and Tribù?

Kettal is the architectural aluminum-and-teak reference; Dedon is the hand-woven fiber and sculptural-organic reference; Tribù is the rope and upholstered terrace reference. Vondom is the sculptural, colour-driven, monolithic reference — rotational-moulded polyethylene at hospitality scale, with RAL-custom colour and illuminated configurations. We specify across all four where the brief calls for it; Vondom is most often the choice when the project needs statement seating or planters at scale.

What are typical Vondom lead times for projects in the US?

Standard cataloged colours ship 6–10 weeks ex-factory. Custom RAL colours, illuminated configurations and contract-volume hospitality orders run 12–18 weeks. For projects with a fixed install date we recommend confirming the spec list at least 4 months out so freight and US customs clearance fit comfortably inside the schedule.
